Session boundaries and preparation
What to discuss before a bodywork session with Daniela: consent, booking restrictions, preparation and time afterwards.
Before we meet, we agree on the scope of the session and your boundaries around touch. You are welcome to ask questions and tell me what you do or do not want. You can change your mind, pause or stop at any time.
Touch and consent
We discuss the areas of the body included in your session beforehand. Any internal work is only considered when you are fully comfortable and have explicitly agreed. No sexual services are offered.
Before your session
Allow enough time before the session to arrive without rushing and settle in. Do not consume alcohol or recreational drugs beforehand.
Arrive showered, or discuss having a shower at my place. Bring loose, comfortable clothing. If you have a favourite playlist, you are welcome to bring it.
When not to book
My booking guidance asks you not to book a session with fever, flu or an inflammatory illness, shortly after an injury, during pregnancy, with cancer or with a herniated disc. If any of these applies, or you are unsure, speak with your doctor and contact me before arranging a session.
These are the booking restrictions for my practice. They are not a statement that every type of massage is unsuitable for everyone with these circumstances.
After your session
Leave yourself time afterwards rather than moving straight into a busy schedule. Drink water or herbal tea. My aftercare guidance is to avoid heavy food, alcohol and smoking after the session.
